Don’t Ignore Your Yeast Infection
Yeast infections aren’t just bothersome; they can be really serious. Did you know that candida can yield more than 75 different toxins and an untreated candida infection can be very dangerous? Research is showing a lot of connection between candida bacteria and illnesses in people.
Many people see yeast infections as a female problem affecting the vaginal area only and have little to no idea of the fact that candida can be systemic and get into the bloodstream. It can be extremely serious and even lethal, especially in the case where the sufferer has other health problems such as HIV / AIDS or Diabetes.
Candida Treatment Options
How can you cure candida problems? Can you fight it off proactively? There are a lot of treatment options for various candida infections whether they’re for diaper rash, oral thrush, penile yeast infection, vaginitis, systemic candida or otherwise. A candida rash that is recurring could be signs of a serious underlying condition and could be signs that your health is in jeopardy. It’s important to look for potential reasons for candida infections that are recurrent. Changing diet and lifestyle can be significant helps but if they are not, there could be a serious underlying cause of the recurring yeast overgrowth. Candida should not be left untreated and a change in your lifestyle could proactively keep your bacteria levels in check.
Candida Symptoms
Candida can be very irritating with rashes and discharges but doesn’t always have obvious symptoms, either. Sometimes it can manifest itself in less obvious ways such as sluggishness, sugar cravings, bloating, IBS-like symptoms and a long list of other health related issues including emotional and mental issues as well. Your health can be an indication of how your body is faring in a war of positive versus negative bacteria. A strong immune system can often fight off candida and being in poor health can encourage candida growth which thrives in a toxic environment. A test from a doctor can detect candida problems for the first diagnosis. After that, you may be distinctly aware of a relapse.
Candida Remedies
There are a lot of potential remedies for less serious candida infections including: changing your diet, taking supplements, increasing your intake of probiotics, infrared saunas, exercise such as rebounding and aerobics, douching, using coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil and other remedies that can all help your body stay in balance. If you are taking antibiotics, for instance, which kill all bacteria instead of just the bad guys, you’re more susceptible to candida overgrowth because the positive flora is killed off by the antibiotics which give candida an upper hand. Taking probiotics, prebiotics and even synbiotics can be very helpful.
Over the counter creams, ointments and suppositories are available for candida rashes and some more aggressive treatment options can be necessary including prescription medication. Many drugs exist including Nystatin, Nizoral, Monistat, Difflucan, ThreeLac and others like Amphotericin B. For very serious candida infections a very aggressive drug, Amphotericin B is used but it has some serious risk of dangerous side effects may be necessary to kill the fungus which can become life threatening.
Regardless of your health status, yeast infections should be taken seriously as a warning sign that something is wrong in your body. Swift action on your part can protect your health.
